ARTFIXdaily launches blog network
Artfixdaily.com

Online art news aggregator ARTFIXdaily.com is developing a blog network for the art world.

A feature of ARTFIXdaily's exclusive membership program, called ArtGuild, the blogs are written by curators, scholars, art dealers, auction house staff, and other professionals involved with the study or sale of art, antiques, and collectibles. Topics include upcoming auction highlights, exhibition reviews, show previews, and new research on fine and decorative arts, all from the perspective of art insiders.

ArtGuild is a free service from ARTFIXdaily.com. Membership is by invitation or approval of an application form and limited to those who work in the art world. A select group of leading art collectors and artists will also contribute editorial and opinions.

ArtGuild members provide content to ARTFIXdaily, including photos, images, blogs, and event listings, as well as press releases for ArtWire, using easy CMS tools.

The goal of the ArtGuild service is to provide members with wide exposure for their art specialties and upcoming events. Marketing benefits may include: increased search engine visibility, no-cost publicity, a targeted audience, industry networking, and leads to online and print coverage.

"User-generated content, produced by our exclusive membership program, is a valuable resource" maintains ARTFIXdaily founder Julie Carlson. "ArtGuild helps art professionals channel knowledge, news, and information," she says, "in a free and simple format to a wide audience of people devoted to the same discipline."

According to a recent Ruder Finn survey, 62% of internet users go online to submit their opinions and comments in a social networking environment. This exploding trend is supported by ARTFIXdaily, where art-specific content is submitted by a select group of experts and individuals in the field.

ARTFIXdaily also offers curated art news, both online and in a free daily e-newsletter format. Registration is free and open to anyone interested in daily delivery of breaking art news. This service begins in August 2009.

With a balance of user-generated content and editorial gleaned from established newspaper and web sources, ARTFIXdaily offers a broad view of the art market and in-depth, timely coverage of a variety of art topics.
