20th c.  art to be sold includes this abstract mixed media on paper by Afro Basaldella (Italian, 1912-1976) dated 1948.  This (and the large canvas by Julian Stanczak) is from the estate of a fellow artist and friend of both artists.  In 1956, Afro, as he is known, was given the award as Best Italian Artist at the Venice Biennale.
