The Winter Antiques Show celebrates its 57th year as America's most prestigious antiques show, providing museums, established collectors, dealers, design professionals and first-time buyers with opportunities to see and purchase exceptional pieces showcased by 74 exhibitors. This year, specialists in 17th to 19th century American furniture and decorative arts, old master drawings and European sculpture, and Southeast Asian art join this fully vetted show, which runs from January 21-30, 2011. From an Egyptian relief depicting Akhenaten through mid–century furniture by Gerald Summers and Gio Ponti, every object exhibited at the Winter Antiques Show is vetted for quality and authenticity. All net proceeds from sponsors, special events, and ticket sales support East Side House Settlement, a non-profit in the South Bronx providing social services to community residents. To purchase tickets for the Opening Night Party on Thursday, January 20th or the Young Collectors Night on Thursday, January 27th, please call (718) 292-7392 or visit the Show's website at www.winterantiquesshow.com. General admission to the Show is $20, which includes the Show's award-winning catalogue.
