Kaminski Auctions, one of Massachusetts’ premier auction houses, celebrated the Grand Opening of a new state-of-the-art auction gallery Friday, November 26, 2010.  Hundreds of fine art and antique collectors, dealers and enthusiasts attended the event, which took place in the new gallery at 117 Elliot Street, Beverly, Massachusetts.  The occasion also marked expert appraiser Mary Westcott’s 20-year anniversary with the company.  For additional information and a list of upcoming auctions, please visit www.KaminskiAuctions.com.

The new venue, a 6,500 square foot space in Beverly, MA, will offer a comfortable and significantly expanded location for Kaminski’s upcoming auctions.  Originally designed as an industrial space, the building has undergone major renovations, including the installation of fine hardwood flooring, sophisticated lighting and hanging systems and a raised auction platform.  Auctions in the new location will also feature dual wide-screen monitors displaying images of items as they cross-the-block.

Mary Westcott, veteran appraiser and long-time member of the Kaminski Auctions team, also celebrated her 20th anniversary with the company at the event.  Said Westcott, “I have conducted countless free appraisal days and have held every job in the auction business during my time with Kaminski Auctions, but it’s the relationships with both the customers and staff that I treasure most about my career.”

The Grand Opening event also served as a preview for Kaminski’s popular Annual Thanksgiving Auction.  The auction, which was highlighted by a single-owner collection from La Jolla, California estate, featured over 750 lots of fine art, antiques and collectibles.  Notable consignments included a bevy of fine 18th and 18th Century

European furniture, a wide selection of Persian items including rugs and paintings and a sparkling lineup of fine estate jewelry.

“The Grand Opening of our new auction gallery is a major milestone for Kaminski Auctions,” comments owner Frank Kaminski.  “This spacious, state-of-the-art venue will dramatically enhance the auction experience for both loyal bidders and new consignors alike.”
