Creative Couples: 1890-Present - Seven Exhibitions, Two Galleries, 175 Creative Couples
AN ONGOING CELEBRATION OF LOVE & CREATIVITY IN THE PROVINCETOWN ART COLONY FOR OVER 125 YEARS
Berta Walker Gallery is celebrating its 30th Anniversary by presenting in both the Wellfleet and Provincetown galleries, a summer-long rotating group of exhibitions by Creative Couples from 1890-Present.
Meet over 175 Creative Couples who have lived in and contributed to this art colony significantly in their lifetimes. Many are "mixed media" in that one individual might be a musician, the other a poet, or one an artist, the other a dancer.
Each exhibition includes one or two "focus" exhibitions on various individual couples, including: Carmen Cicero & Mary Abel, Marsden Hartley & Carl Sprinchorn, Charles & Marion Hawthorne, Hans & Miz Hofmann, Ross Moffett & Dorothy Lake Gregory, Paul & Blair Resika, Selina Trieff & Bob Henry, and others.
