Richmond Hill, ON – With the temperatures hitting record highs all over the world, the prices continue to soar at 888 Auctions. With 401 fresh-to-market items opening up for bidding and available to the highest bidder, the upcoming auction, featuring Ancient Coins, Modern Paintings and Asian Art is sure to be a crowd-pleaser July 19, 2018.


Headlining the sale will be a series of ancient coins which can be found at the following lots:


Lot 174: Northern Song Dynasty (1101-1125 AD) Daguan Tongbao Hartill 16.418 (High Estimate: $120)

Lot 186: Chinese Sui Dynasty (581-604 AD) Wuzhu Hartill 10.26 (High Estimate: $90)


Lot 199: Southern Song Dynasty (1193 AD) Shaoxi Yuanbao Iron Hartill 17.327 (High Estimate: $100)

Lot 203: Roman Empire Postumus Bronze Antoninianus Coin (260-269 AD) (High Estimate: $350)

Chinese antiques have begun a turnaround with many lots selling at or above their high estimates. One such lot which has currently been garnering significant interest is Lot 291, a set of Twelve Chinese White Jade Zodiac Statues. Lot 291 is a full set of twelve Chinese Hetian white jade figures with animal heads of the zodiac animals and hailing from a local private collection, it is expected to exceed its high estimate of $5,000.


Last but not least, 888 Auctions continues to accept items of an eclectic nature and collectors will be pleased to find the inclusion of Lot 400, an 18th Century French Map of Persia Paris Meridian carrying a high estimate of $900.
