  AUBURN, Ala. - The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University presents the exhibition, Promises of Freedom: Selections from the Arthur Primas Collection, on display in the Bill L. Harbert Gallery and Gallery C from Dec. 10, 2011-March 10, 2012. Promises of Freedom features an impressive range of works from a significant private collection of African American art. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Romare Bearden’s birth, Jerald Melberg Gallery presents a major exhibition of over forty collages, watercolors and prints featuring the artist’s memories of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
