These rooms have never before been open for public viewing. This marks yet another milestone in the interpretation of Olana, Frederic Church’s home, studio and designed landscape in Hudson, New York. This was unlike his previous expeditions, as he and his wife, Isabel, were escaping from intense personal grief: the loss of their two young children.
