Overnight on Wednesday, a hooded thief was caught on video heaving himself into the Paris Museum of Modern Art through a broken window.

The black-clad burglar apparently evaded a security system and three armed guards.

Cut from their frames were “Dove With Green Peas” by Picasso, “La Pastorale” by Matisse, “Olive Tree Near Estaque” by Georges Braque, “Woman With a Fan” by Amedeo Modigliani and “Still Life With Chandeliers” by Fernand Leger.

The paintings, from the museum's permanent collection, are valued at about $111 million to $124 million, according to the New York Times. Radio France International reports the five paintings are worth $600 million.
