Mary Cassatt: Works on Paper was revealed last week at Houston's Meredith Long & Company. Fresh to the market are 41 significant prints and drawings that until very recently have remained hidden in the seemingly long-lost collection of Ambroise Vollard, the friend and Parisian art dealer of Impressionist Mary Cassatt.

Vollard bought these works on paper straight from Cassatt's studio. For over a century, they have laid unseen and wrapped in paper.

Long is collaborating with an anonymous New York dealer to offer Vollard's Cassatts which are priced up to $500,000.

More works from Vollard's collection, which includes Andre Derain's 1905 Fauvist landscape “Arbres a Collioure,” estimated at 9 million pounds ($13.9 million) to 14 million pounds, will be offered at Sotheby’s sales in London and Paris this June.
