"A Century of Innovation: American Art from 1850–1950" opens at Questroyal Fine Art

On view today---during the American Art Fair Springtime Gallery Walk, a series of open houses at premier New York City galleries, from 2PM to 8PM---is a spectacular exhibition designed to illustrate the progression of American art from the Hudson River School to Modernism. Highlights among the sixty curated works on display are a brilliant Willard Metcalf painting of poppies viewed against Claude Monet’s home in Giverny and Arthur B. Carles’ modernist masterpiece, "Still Life, Flowers." Visit Questroyal Fine Art, 903 Park Avenue @ 79th St., Suites 3A & Ba. The show runs until June 28, 2010.
