Street artist Banksy over the weekend left a new mural on a wall in the English city of Dover on the Channel.

Posited overnight at the Dover ferry terminal, the image depicts a worker chiselling a star from the EU flag. Commentators pointed out on social media that the work is a bit late to call attention to last summer's Brexit vote to leave the European Union; many were calling the piece too "obvious."

Others noted the brilliance in showing the subtle cracking of the EU flag at the removal of the star.
