Leonardo’s Salvator Mundi: Its Journey from Anonymity to Fame, and from £45 to $450 Million
The record sale price of Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi astonished the art world – particularly as only a few years ago thismasterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci had been considered lost. On September 18th the painting will go on view at its new home, the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Join The Appraisers Association at The Lotos Club, where its rediscovery is told by Robert Simon, AAA -- art historian, art dealer, and former President of the Appraisers Association of America -- who helped establish the painting’s identity and shepherded it from obscurity to world-wide celebrity.
The lecture will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.
