studio21south is pleased to announce that reports of the death of the tradition of working from the live model have been greatly exaggerated. As evidence, we submit "The Model Is Posing", featuring paintings, sculptures and drawings by contemporary American artists. While many of the works are straightforward representations of the figure, others incorporate the studio or atelier environment, or capture the artist-model relationship. Featuring Eric March, Katy Schneider (Smith College), Joel Rudnick, Jerry Weiss (Old Lyme), Thor Wickstrom, and other accomplished representational artists.
