The fifteen paintings in this exhibition display kaleidoscopic pattern, intense color, and intricate detail and are the hallmarks of Hubert FitzGerald's range of painting styles that spanned more than seven decades. A native of Jeannette, he took his first art lessons as a boy at St. Vincent College in Latrobe. He later enrolled in the fine arts program at Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University), where he studied under many of the professors whose work is on view in the exhibition "They Practice What They Teach."
