Boston, MA—Manhattan’s major contemporary art museums are hosting spectacular exhibitions this spring. Explore them with Judith Tolnick Champa, the Editor-in-Chief of Art New England, and your host on these three-day weekend art tours.
Travel will be roundtrip Boston/New York, with two convenient pickups, on a luxury motor-coach with very limited seating. Each weekend includes two night, four-star accommodations at the neo-Federal style InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel, conveniently located in midtown. A continental breakfast with Judith, discussing and debating the art viewed, will launch our day each Saturday morning.
On April 20-22, the weekend will comprise admission, timed and guided visits to The Whitney Biennial 2012, the Cindy Sherman Retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art, and the John Chamberlain retrospective called Choices at the Guggenheim Museum.
On Friday evening, the SOFA (Sculpture Objects and Functional Art) International Art Fair is open at the Park Avenue Armory, for those who would like to visit with Judith. Or, arrangements for a Broadway play can be made via our tour liaison.
On May 18-20, the weekend will comprise admission, timed and guided visits to The Whitney Biennial 2012, the Cindy Sherman Retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art, and the Francesca Woodman photography exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum.
On Friday evening, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s special exhibition called The Steins Collect will be open for those who would like to visit with Judith. Alternatively, arrangements for a Broadway play can be made via our tour liaison.
These extraordinary weekends in New York are matched only by their extraordinary value. They are unique to Art New England, complete with the expertise and insight offered by the renowned Ms. Judith Tolnick Champa, deeply immersed in the contemporary art field.
