Exhibition: Aug 27 - Sep 01, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, closed Sunday We are proud to announce an important auction from the collection of the late Ellen Gries Cole. This will be an exclusive auction, with items only from Ms. Cole's estate. Highlights include rare etchings and lithographs by Marc Chagall, Pierre Bonnard, Auguste Renoir and Edouard Vuillard. Paintings include William Merritt Chase, Ben Austrian and Leon Kroll, furniture by Paul Sormani and an extensive offering of fine export armorial porcelain. Many of the porcelains included have been de-accessioned from the collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art, with proceeds to benefit future acquisitions. The provenances include such names as Elinor Gordon, Helen Woolworth McCann and Lucille and Robert H. Gries.


Please join us to hear Stephen Harrison, Curator of Decorative Arts, from the Cleveland Museum of Art speak on Chinese Export Armorial porcelains in the auction, Friday, August 27 at 5 pm. RSVP to the gallery if you wish to attend. The lecture will be followed by a Champagne reception and preview of the auction.
