PARIS EXPO, March 26-29
For several days each year, Paris becomes the world capital of contemporary art during Paris Art Month in March. Contemporary Art Fair Paris, the young spring contemporary art fair, returns to PARIS EXPO, Pavillon 5, Porte de Versailles with more than 80 galleries.
The fair opens on Thursday, March 26th with a VIP Preview, on 4 pm, and vernissage party from 7pm to 10 pm, before opening to the public from Friday, March 27th through Sunday, March 29th, 2020.
Since many years Paris has been Europe's high season destination for contemporary and modern art. The Contemporary Art Fair Paris offers collectors the opportunity to acquire curated works from emerging talents in the contemporary market, mid-career artists, and blue-chip contemporary, post-war and modern masters.
Dr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund, director of the gallery AHC PROJECTS HAMBURG, is invited to participate with the curated exhibition titled "Terra Incognita - Paysage perdu?" presenting artworks by Tina Buchholtz, Truong Hoang Huy, Christine Keruth, Markus Mesmer, Claudia Mini, Anna Paola Pizzocaro Jeannine Platz.
About her concept and intention, the curator and art historian explains: "Terra incognita is a term for land masses or areas that were not yet mapped or described. The name can be found on old sea maps of those regions that were still unexplored. With the topic "Terra Incognita - Paysage perdu?" the show comprises artworks that evoke questions about our life in unknown areas, a distinct choice in colours and atmosphere, artworks which revolve around themes of identity and space."
