Sculpture by Noted Cleveland Artist Offered for Sale

Aspire Auctions, Inc., is offering a mid-twentieth century bronze sculpture by Cleveland area artist John Rodgers Clague. He taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1956 -1971. Clague was awarded the Cleveland Arts Prize in 1967 and participated in many of the May Shows at The Cleveland Museum of Art. He studied with Edris Eckhardt, Walter Sinz, and William McVey for whom he worked as an assistant. This lovely sculpture named “Laurel” was cast at Studio Foundry in Cleveland.
Aspire Auctions’ February online auction catalogue will be posted for viewing on January 27th at www.aspireauctions.com Bidding opens this Friday February 3rd and lots close the following week, February 9th. It's a timed auction, so you can bid anytime from anywhere, up until the timer runs out for the lot. Lots close in 1 minute intervals, over a two day period. There are over 700 lots, ranging from fine paintings, sculpture, Asian, sterling, fine watches & jewelry, pottery & glass, books, antique weapons, furniture and carpets.
