Heather James Fine Art is pleased to present this exquisite work of art by American Pop artist Tom Wesselmann (1931-2004). Created in 1987, the steel drawing, Monica Lying on Robe and Pillow (Var. #6), represents Wesselmann’s pioneering technique of using laser-cut metal to form a colorful reclining nude figure. Painted with enamel colors, the sensual form emerges from the wall with undulating lines creating the contours of the figure along with loose gestures that interact with the composition.
