Chinese Coins, Antiques & Western Paintings Abound June 21 at 888 Auctions

Richmond Hill, ON – As the temperatures continue to rise, the sell-through rates and hammer prices continue to steadily climb at 888 Auctions. The high sell-through rates have become an effective barometer for the Canadian auction house and it is with those high hopes that 888 Auctions will be featuring 393 fresh-to-market items including a variety of Chinese Coins, Antiques and Western Paintings.

Starring as the cover lot of the auction and nestled within the numerous rare Chinese coins featured in the June 21 sale is Lot 208, a Chinese Qing Dynasty Daoguang Period (1820-1850) Tongbao Flower coin. With the reverse lettering Wan Nian Tian and of leaf form, the flower charm coin is expected to far exceed its high estimate of $400.
