Exhibitions Without Walls for Photographers and Digital Artists (EWW), a global online-juried competition and exhibition, is pleased to announce that the digital fine art submission “Red” by Sibel Sancar has been chosen by the juror panel to receive the Best In Competition award.

Sibel (Ankara, Turkey) began painting in 1990, and today she continues her studies in her home studio. She comments “People, their emotions and abstract themes are my favorite.  I start to work without planning the final picture.  But towards the final step and while jumping from one software to another a concept is created and some classical composition rules  are added to it.”

She has had six solo exhibitions and various group exhibitions.  Her artistic activities have included ARTROM Gallery's "In Peace Project" in 2004 (Rome), the NAFA International Painting Competition in 2004 (Brazil), Upstream People Gallery's 8th Annual Abstraction Art Exhibition in 2006 (USA) and IMMAGINE&POESIA as a Turkey Representative in 2009 (Italy).  Presently, Sancar resides in Ankara, Turkey. 

The other two winning finalist are 2nd place Hilary Hann for “Alone” (Australia); and 3rd place Keith Parks for “Caught By The Breeze (California, USA).”   In addition to the three top finalists, honorable mentions have been awarded to Kell Baldwin (Colorado, USA), Michael Wilson (Illinois, USA), Javier Martinez (Santiago, Chile), Yoram Gelman (New York, USA) and Rick Chapman (North Carolina, USA). Submissions received for competition included 106 photographers and digital artists from the USA and 12 other countries. 

Exhibitions Without Walls for Photographers and Digital Artists was organized specifically for photographers and digital artists.  It’s mission is to add its voice in acknowledging photography and digital art as an important medium of expression in the world of fine art and to provide a venue to display these types of works.  The next online-juried competition and exhibition will be “NATURE’S EXPRESSIONS” with a deadline date for submissions of January 31, 2012.  You can go to http://exhibitionswithoutwalls.com for further details.
