FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH 1000MUSEUMS

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation announced a new licensing agreement with 1000Museums, the premier provider of archival reproductions from museums around the world. Now, with the help of print-on-demand technology, never-before-printed selections from the Foundation’s Archives will be available to admirers of Wright’s work.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives is the most complete collection of materials related to a single artist housed under one roof anywhere in the world. Wright’s work ranged from residences designed in the Prairie style in the late 19th century, to modern works including Fallingwater, the Usonian Homes, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City in the late 50s.

“At 1000Museums, our goal is to make art accessible, and we are thrilled to be able to bring a full spectrum of work from the Frank Lloyd Foundation Archive online,” says 1000Museums founder Kirsten Söderlind. The architectural collection includes over 22,000 drawings dating from the 1880s through 1959. The first 33 selections of architectural reproductions from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives are now available on 1000Museums.com, including renderings, elevations, site plans and sketches, with more added as they become available. Söderlind continues, “It is motivating to be able to review this collection of work and truly see the hand of the architect up close in these drawings.” Examples will be on display at the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection Booth No. 2663 at the New York International Gift Show beginning January 29th at the Javits Center.

The Frank Lloyd Wright reproductions are printed with archival inks on acid-free paper and approved by the Foundation. The Foundation’s Frank Lloyd Wright Collection trademark is placed on each print to confirm that the reproductions match the originals. Prints are available in a variety of sizes, framed or unframed.
